“Knotted Strands” is a tribute to the city of Miri, Sarawak, and an inspiration for those who have left to find a reason to come back. The film follows Ah Jun as he struggles with guilt over his father’s death and tries to make amends with his brother, while reluctantly helping with the family’s coffee shop business. Their mother wishes for her two sons to come together one day and continue their father’s legacy.
