Sovereignity and security of Sarawak

KUCHING, NOV 6: Preserving the sovereignty and security of Sarawak from any form of external and internal threats has always been the priority of Gabungan Parti Sarawak as this is to ensure the people can live peacefully and prosperously.

Its chairman, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said that the coalition pledged, first and foremost, to guarantee the safety of Sarawak and its people, free from any threats.

“We are committed to empower Sarawak’s enforcement agencies to protect the people by controlling resources and assets as it is to ensure that Sarawak’s well-being and security is assured.

“This includes building more military camps in several strategic places throughout Sarawak, building new Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Posts at strategic entry points to efficiently control the Sarawak-Kalimantan border.” Abang Johari said while during the unveiling of GPS manifesto at Borneo Convention Centre (BCCK) here in Kuching.

“We will also survey and establish Sarawak’s borderline with neighbouring countries to recognise Sarawak’s sovereignty

“Among others, the coalition will provide basic facilities and assets to manage disaster effectively, as well as assisstance needed under the Social Welfare Department (JKM) to ease the burden of those affected by disasters,” he added.

While, ensures high quality and efficient public services by adhering to the principles of good governance for the benefit of Sarawakians.

Abang Johari stressed by empowering the Sarawak Public Service Scheme to increase productivity and service quality which is through organisational restructuring and digitalisation of government service systems.

This also includes appointing a Certified Intergrity Officer (CELO) I every agency in Sarawak and develop an Intergrated Administration Centre to facilitate citizens’ access to any government services.

“With administer Sarawak efficiently, transparently, professionally and with integrity to ensure no corruption and abuse of power,” he pointed out. – TVS
